Care Instructions

Washing

• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.
• Wash the set on its own the first time, in case of loose dye.
• Mild detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and dulls the print over time.

Drying

• Tumble dry on low, or line dry in shade.
• Take it out slightly damp and smooth it flat; that saves ironing.
• Do not dry clean. The solvents are harder on the print than a wash is.

Ironing

Only if you want to. Low heat, on the reverse side, never directly on the printed face.

Storing

Fold it loosely in a breathable cotton bag rather than sealed plastic. Compressed in plastic for a season, any quilt comes out creased and smelling of the cupboard.

Will it fade?

The colour sits in the fibre rather than on the surface, so normal washing will not fade or crack it. Months of direct midday sun will fade any textile, ours included.
