What a set contains

Three pieces: one quilt and two matching pillow shams. The quilt is filled and used as it comes, so there is no duvet insert to buy separately and nothing to stuff. The shams are printed to match the quilt rather than to contrast with it, which is why the sets photograph as one piece rather than three.

How these are made

Every design is printed onto the fabric, then the set is sewn and shipped. Nothing is hand-quilted, hand-stitched or embroidered, and nothing is printed until an order exists. That is the trade: production takes a few days before shipping begins, and in exchange one store can carry tens of thousands of designs without warehousing any of them. It also means the design you receive matches the one on screen, because it is printed from that file.

Choosing a size

Bed-size names are less reliable than measurements, particularly across countries and once a mattress topper is involved. Measure the width and the depth of your mattress, add twice the depth to the width, and pick the quilt closest to that number. Four sizes are available on every design here — Single, Twin, Queen and King — and the full measurement chart is on each product page.

Keeping the print sharp

Wash cold on a gentle cycle with the quilt turned inside out, skip fabric softener and bleach, and tumble dry on low. Heat is what dulls a printed design over time, far more than washing does — a set washed often but dried cool will outlast one washed rarely and dried hot.
